Art D's First Batch Adventure is a MS-DOS interactive fiction game written with Batch and is © 1997 by Arthur DiBianca. This is the first in a series of games.
In this simple limited-command-set adventure game, you play as somone walking along a sunny path. You soon find a knife, a wrapped box, and the entrance to the Cave of Thrills. It looks like the local breadstick-loving king wants to help you have an adventure!
This solution is by David Welbourn, and is based on Version 1.1 of the game. Patreon note: This walkthrough and the other two walkthroughs for the games in this series were published in a 3-for-1 deal, as if they were three parts of one game.
SPOILERS AHEAD. Reading a walkthrough prematurely can sometimes diminish one's enjoyment of an interactive fiction game. Please make an honest effort to play the game before reading this walkthrough.

This is a solo adventure, but there's two characters worth mentioning:
This is the response to help:
This batch adventure takes one- and two-word commands.
The following verbs are understood: go, take, drop, look, examine, inv (inventory), read, say, use, and quit.
The abbreviations n,w,e,s,u,d,i, and l are also understood. My thanks to Robert Irving, who gave me the idea for DOS batch adventures.
Enjoy!
