They are all so young and beautiful! The men are muscled and hirsute, with chiseled jawlines. The women voluptuous and sleek. It makes you feel a little bit, well, inadequate and self-conscious. If you were picking fault, they all do look like they could do with a bit of sun on their skin. And the long teeth would give anyone pause for thought.

[Blake or The Count] is a slim, ascetic man in what seems to be his mid-forties. Although, from his filmography, you know he's quite a bit older than that. His suspiciously black hair is receding from a high forehead in a widow's peak and large sad brown eyes are deep-set in a cadaverous white face. He still wears the red-lined black cloak he wore during your last scene.

When you learn Blake is an actual vampire, the game prefers to refer to him as The Count.

[Charlotte or The Countess] is a smallish slim woman in her early twenties. She has raven black hair that falls over her white face. Her full blood-red lips seem to be set in a permanent scowl. She is wearing the same diaphanous white dress she wore on set.

When you learn Charlotte is an actual vampire, the game prefers to refer to her as The Countess.

The Countess, the Count and their vampire thralls look hungrily at the demonic army. They are reasonably strong, really agile and of average speed. They have a range of abilities like turning into bats or smoke, or becoming invisible which they can use to disconcerting and devastating effect, making their attacks really quite powerful. The amount of harm they inflict is extremely high.

Publicly the Orthodoxy takes pains to assure its subjects that Inquisitors are not above the law. This is a pleasant fiction. Inquisitors are empowered to meld the law according to their needs, to invent edicts or forget them at will, so long as it serves the aims of the Orthodoxy. In the earliest decades of your career, you availed yourself of these privileges frequently, reveling in the arbitrary power of your position.

But a century's experience has demonstrated that an Inquisitor need not resort to such inelegances. The true law, unadulterated by situational convenience, is just and complete. It is sufficient in all respects, so long as it is wielded with skill and patience.
