Dreary Lands (2005)

The flawless blade protrudes two feet out from the ornate hilt, a deep groove cut into the entire length of the double-edged beginning several inches above the hilt and terminating near the top of the blade. The blade does not angle sharply on either side at its top for the two broad sides to meet and form the razor-sharp point; instead, the whole length is shaped like a much-elongated triangle, gradually growing thinner.
The haft is more than a foot long; its comfortable wooden grip, inlaid with a floral pattern in ivory, is easily long enough for a big man to grab to grab two-handed. Above the grip, the crossguards gold-plated crossguards lie long and curved upwards. The pommel attatched to the grip is a three-inch diameter circle of prescious metals and bearing an emerald of high quality.
