It's a horse. It used to be a horse. Oh god it's a horse. A big boneless horse, huge toothless jaw snapping at the air and crazy horse-eyes rolling around in the sockets of a flaccid, skull-less horse head.
It's like if you took a horse and flattened it, deflated it, took all the bones out and spread the horse over the floor like jam over toast except it can MOVE and it's a HORSE. It wriggles and snaps like a snake moving sideways, undulating jerkily, snapping the front legs and then the back legs, all one big coil of muscle and skin and organs and no bones. It is coming towards you. It is coming for you.

After some more thought, you remember that the tour guide said that there'd be a mule here named Molly. You could swear she's winking at you! Around her neck is a small collar with the name MOLLY. But she skitters away as you approach. Only after you stop does she stand in place. She gloomily raises her front left hoof - which you notice lacks a shoe, unlike her other three - and brays sadly.
