The dresser is a simple item made of three, wide, white enameled drawers, its sides scratched revealing streaks of metal under the enamel. One of the drawers is open. There's nothing of importance in the dresser, only a few pieces of clothing.

An antique dresser with three drawers: top, middle, and bottom. The fronts of the drawers are elaborately-- if amateurishly-- carved with birds and flowers. You feel a rush of tenderness toward these drawers. Because the person who carved them was Ian.
