With a hue not so much golden as pale yellow, these cornflakes look somewhat pathetic, and probably have all the nutritional value of a dead cat. However, they're probably the closest you'll find to food in this house, so they'll have to suffice.

The milk is a watery yellow colour, and the cornflakes look horrendously soggy. At the moment, it is simultaneously the most delicious-looking food you've ever seen, and also the least appetising. However, it's food (something the yoghurt in the fridge can't claim to be), and that's all that matters right now. You'll just have to swallow your pride and swallow it down.
