She needs you to find a double-flowered plant, a chemical containing a double bond, and a part of an animal who clones to reproduce. She also needs chalk and a flame source.

The plan can go into effect after school when no one else is around. Find her in home economics when you have everything.

This is the Credits section of the response to ABOUT or CREDITS:

All writing and coding for this game by Andrew Apted.

No generative AI has been used to develop this game.

Many thanks to my testers: improvmonster, Mike Russo, Allyson Gray, and Andrew Schultz.

The cover was created by the author, using three awesome images from the Openclipart website which are under the CC0 (Creative Commons Zero) license, very similar to being public domain.

The floorplan and welcome mat images were also created by the author, using a compass rose sourced from Openclipart, plus toilet signs and a reed mat photograph sourced from Wikimedia Commons.

Endings

In one sense, there are two endings:

But after the vampire is gone, one way or the other, the conclusion is the same. The clones pop like balloons. You free Noel. You make up a story about Mr Prior being a child predator and never mention the vampire part. The police never find Mr Prior. The janitor gets help for his drinking. And you, Aleesha, and Noel become good friends. The End.

So is there one ending or two? You decide.

Inventory

In this game, the INVENTORY command has been repurposed to list your current tasks. Since most of your tasks involve finding specific things, your progress is reported by listing the things you've collected, followed by reminders of which things you still need to get or do.

A minor consequence of that reframing is that some things you actually have (backpack, lunch, schoolbooks) aren't listed if those things aren't task-related.

Items are listed here in the order they're acquired in this walkthrough.
