The Travels of Fitzwilliam Pound is a Z-machine interactive fiction game written with Inform 6 and is © 2002 by C. Canby Wilson. It was a participant in the Speed-IF Crinkle-Cut event.
In this small game, you play as the adventurer called Fitzwilliam Pound. Your quest is to travel the globe to rid yourself of a cursed marble.
This solution is by David Welbourn, and is based on Release 1 of the game.

This walkthrough skips visiting Europe, Africa, Asia, Australia, and the South Pole, but you're not really missing that much, honestly.
I note that although you can take the pole at the North Pole, the pole disappears and does not go into your inventory.
