Extras
Amusing
This is the response to AMUSING after you've won the game:
Have you tried:
Examining everything in every room, including scenery and the rooms themselves.
Waiting until the disaster occurs in each time zone, especially in the bakehouse at London and the control room on the Hindenburg.
Using the magic word XYZZY.
Putting one of the crystals on the wrong plinth.
At London:
Going up the stairs in the shop.
Putting something in the oven.
Asking the baker about anything he mentions, such as London, the Royal Navy and the Dutch.
Taking the lantern, the flames or the smoke.
On the Titanic:
Looking through the binoculars on the deck of the Titanic.
Opening the bottle of champagne.
Breaking the ice with the axe.
Climbing the ropes in the gymnasium.
Jumping on the trampoline at the wrong place.
At San Francisco:
Reading all the headlines in the newspaper.
Asking the little girl about herself and anything interesting she mentions, such as her mummy and daddy.
Examining the heap of garbage a third time.
Turning the wheel when you're holding it.
Giving the banana and the bottle of champagne to the hobo.
Asking the hobo about himself, the crystals and anything interesting he mentions, such as accountancy, grog, San Francisco and motsa.
Breaking the crate with the axe or entering it once it's open.
Eating a banana.
At Krakatoa:
Chopping down the palm tree before taking the coconut.
Taking the bird's nest.
Cutting the coconut with the axe.
Sitting on the log before pushing it over the cliff.
Giving the coconut to the monkey.
Taking the monkey.

Endings
You have died
if you chop down the palm tree without getting the coconut from the top of the tree first. The falling coconut knocks you out, then the volcano kills you before you can recover.
if you try to jump unaided over the hole in the Titanic corridor.
if you're still on the Titanic by 2:20 am when the ship suddenly tilts and you're thrown into the ocean.
if you're still in Krakatoa by 5:30 am when the volcano erupts.
if you're still in San Francisco by 5:12 am when the major earthquake happens.
if you're still in London by 1:00 am when the fire becomes an inferno.
if you're still on the Hindenburg by 7:25 pm when it catches fire and is engulfed in flames.
You have won
if you put all three time crystals back onto their respective plinths.
BUG: If you wait in the tower for your parents to come home, they never show. Instead, eventually the events of the Hindenburg disaster happen in the Tower of Cythii, and you die at 7:25 pm there.
Inventory
Whenever you need to climb a tree, a rope, or a ship's mast, or whenever you need to ride the log, you need both hands free. Putting everything you can into the satchel and wearing the satchel will help.
Tower items
a cleaning cloth. It's in the domed room.
Drop it. It's only there to give you something for the tutorial part of the game.
Krakatoa items
a coconut. It's at the top of the palm tree.
It's important to take the coconut before chopping down the palm tree with the axe. Otherwise, the coconut falls on your head and knocks you out. Then you're incinerated by the volcano before you reawaken.
You don't need the coconut for anything, but if you drop the coconut then cut it with the axe, you drink the coconut milk that's inside and throw the shells away.
a silver key. It's in the bird's nest at the top of the palm tree.
It unlocks the chest in the ship's cargo hold.
a red crystal. It's the red glint seen in the cave's hole.
After giving the banana to the monkey, lead the monkey into the cave. He gets the crystal for you, then leaves.
In the tower's domed room, put the red crystal onto the red plinth.
a flagon of wine. It's in the ship's cabin.
Put the cork into the flagon to seal it. Now you can take it.
In San Francisco's abandoned shop, give the bread, then the flagon to the hobo. He gives you a box of matches as a thank you.
an oil lamp. It's in the ship's fo'c'stle.
Light the lamp with the matches. Blow out the lamp to extinquish it.
You need the lamp's light to see in the ship's dark cargo hold.
a green crystal. It's in the locked chest in the ship's cargo hold. Unlock the chest with the silver key.
In the tower's domed room, put the green crystal onto the green plinth.
Titanic items
an axe. It's in the lifeboat.
On Krakatoa's stoney headland, after getting the coconut out of the palm tree, chop the palm tree with the axe. Examine the fallen trunk; it has fronds. Chop the fronds with the axe. There's now a log you can push down to the rocky platform, and there, you can get on the log to explore the bay.
Optionally, chop the coconut with the axe to enjoy its milk.
Note: The axe is too big to fit in the satchel. Once you're done with the axe, it's best to abandon it.
a bow. It's on the settees in the reading and writing room.
In San Francisco's general store's parlour, give the bow to the little girl. She thanks you and drops the brass key.
a bottle of champagne. It's on the bar in the first-class lounge.
a bronze key. It's embedded in the lump of ice on the aft deck; pour salt on the ice to free the key.
The bronze key unlocks the table's drawar in the stateroom.
a mini-trampoline. It's in the gymnasium.
In the corridor aft of the hole, drop the trampoline then jump on it to get over the hole. Unfortunately, the trampoline falls into the hole and floats away.
In the flooded corridor, examine the water to find the lost trampoline.
In the corridor fore of the hole, drop it and tie the rope to it; the trampoline is now styled as a mini-trampoline with a rope tied to it. While holding the end of the rope. jump on the trampoline to jump over the hole. This time, the trampoline comes with you.
When you're back on the aft side of the hole, either take the trampoline or drop the rope. Otherwise, the rope and trampoline act like an anchor, preventing you from going anywhere.
a piece of jewellery. It's in the stateroom's table's drawer. Unlock it with the bronze key.
You don't need this "red earring".
a blue crystal. It's in the stateroom's table's drawer. Unlock it with the bronze key.
In the tower's domed room, put the blue crystal onto the blue plinth.
a rope. It's in the flooded corridor on B-deck.
Tie the rope to the mini-trampoline. The rope is restyled as the end of a rope.
While you hold the end of the rope, you won't lose the trampoline nor be able to abandon it.
London items
a loaf of bread. It's in the shop's front room.
In the abandoned shop in San Francisco, give the bread to the hobo. Wake him first, of course.
San Francisco items
a newspaper. It's in the cul-de-sac.
Read it to remind yourself when the earthquake is going to happen.
a bag of salt. It's in the general store.
On the aft deck of the Titanic, pour the salt on the ice to reveal a bronze key.
a brass key. The little girl in the general store's pantry has it.
Give the bow to the girl; she drops the brass key as a thank you.
The brass key unlocks the cupboard in the shop to the north.
a small metal wheel. Find it at the garbage dump by examining the heap of garbage.
On the Titanic, at the top of the grand staircase, screw the wheel onto the door. Now you can open the doot to the gymnasium.
a satchel. Find it at the garbage dump by examining the heap of garbage a second time.
Wear the satchel and put all of your inventory (except the axe and trampoline) when you need your hands to be free to climb a tree, crimb a rope, climb a ship's mast, or get onto a floating palm tree log.
a crowbar. It's in the locked cupboard in the northwest shop; unlock the cupboard with the brass key.
On the wharf, pry the crate with the crowbar to open it.
On the Krakatoan ship's main deck, pry the door with the crowbar to open it.
a banana. Bananas are in the crate at the wharf. Pry the crate with the crowbar, then take a banana.
You can only have one banana at a time. You may eat it. You can only get another banana when the previous one is eaten.
In Krakatoa's bay, climb the mast and give the banana to the monkey who's in the crow's nest. He's now friendly and follows you. Lead the monkey into the cave, and he gets the red crystal for you.
a box of matches. The hobo in the abandoned shop gives matches to you after you give him the bread and the flagon of wine.
a note. In the obervation room, Willy Speck puts it beside the radio when you first talk to him. He asks you to deliver it to the captain.
Note: The navigators won't let you go fore past them unless you're carrying the note.
In the control room, give the note to the captain. He gives you his binoculars.
a pair of binoculars. In the control room, the captain hands the binoculars to you as if you're a conveniently-placed table when you give the note to him.
Wear them. One less thing in your hands. Too bad for the captain that he didn't think of that.
When anywhere on Krakatoa, LOOK THROUGH BINOCULARS to see a ship in the bay. Now you're willing to risk a venture into the bay on a floating palm tree log as if it were a hobby seahorse or a water polo pony.
You might also want to look through the binoculars when you're on the deck of the Titanic. Get your money's worth from them, eh?
NOTE: The game doesn't support directed use of the binoculars. For example, you can't LOOK AT CHANDELIER THROUGH BINOCULARS nor LOOK THROUGH BINOCULARS AT CHANDELIER to see if there's any Time Crystals hiding up there. Like, there aren't any there, that was just an example. My point is: the game won't understand what you're trying to do.
