Thirst for blood is a Glulx interactive fiction game written with Inform 7 and is © 2026 by Zeno Pillan. It was an entry in IF Comp 2026 where it took 32nd place.
In this short game, you play as a female mosquito. You have just flown into a second-floor window where a living human is sitting at their desk. You can taste the CO2 from their breath. Fill your midgut with fresh human blood and you can be on your way.
This solution is by David Welbourn, and is based on Release 1 of the game.

As a mosquito, INVENTORY is redirected to an examination of your midgut which you want filled with blood. Visit both Leg's skin and Neck's skin to accomplish that, then you may leave the room via the window in the east wall.
