In this short treasure hunt, you play as someone duped into searching a terrible old manse. Your task is to find the three shards of old man Dee Ceased's funeral urn. Bring the completed urn back to the front hall to end the curse and win the game.
This solution is by David Welbourn, and is based on Release 3 of the game.
Note that connections between locations marked the the 🔒 symbol are only unlocked and open while you carry the Key.
Walkthrough
Monsters are confined to their floors but can wander randomly. Monsters can age you, waste your time on the clock, and can steal the Urn or parts of the Urn.
The best plan is probably:
Ignore the Key. Ignore the Monsters. Ignore the scenery.
If the Lantern ever goes out, turn it back on immediately.
Go to the Guest Bedroom and take the Sceptre. This step is just to make sure the Bat doesn't interfere with you getting the Base.
Go to the Smoking Room and take the Base. (You'll drop the Sceptre.)
Go to the Coal Room and take the Cup. You now have an incomplete Urn.
Go to the Master Bedroom and take the Cover. You'll probably run into at least one monster on the way who'll steal the Urn. Take it right back from them.
Take the complete Urn to the Front Hall to win.

Extras
Characters
A Spider menaces you on the ground floor.
A Bat menaces you upstairs.
A Ghost menaces you in the basement. This is Dee Ceased himself, the former owner of the manse.
Also:
Stinky and Sal are your pals who somehow convinced you to take on this task.
Endings
YOU HAVE DIED
if your age is greater than 88 years old, or
if you're still in the manse at 3:00 am.
YOU WIN!
if you bring the complete Urn to the Front Hall.
Inventory
Normal items.
a Lantern. You're carrying it. It's gas-powered, lit, and vulnerable to breezes. If it ever goes out, you must turn it back on again.
a Note. It's in the Front Hall. Read it, but don't bother to pick it up.
Special items. You may only carry one of the following special items at a time. Urn pieces will merge together, but otherwise, you'll drop the previous special item you were holding when you take another special item.
a Key. It's in the Pantry. While you have it, all the doors are unlocked and open. This is mostly useful for mapping the manse's geography, but since you drop it whenever you pick up anything else useful, and all the lockable doors re-lock again, it doesn't help you win the game at all.
a Sceptre. It's in the Guest Bedroom. While you have it, the manse's monsters are scared of you. They will drop anything they're carrying and flee.
a Cup. It's in the Coal Room and is one third of the Urn.
a Base. It's in the Smoking Room and is one third of the Urn.
a Cover. It's on the bed in the Master Bedroom and is one third of the Urn.
an Urn. It's first formed automatically by having two of the three pieces (Base, Cup, Cover). Take the third piece to complete the Urn. Take the completed Urn to the Front Hall to win the game.
