The Terrible, Old Manse is a Z-machine interactive fiction game written with Inform 7 and is © 2010 by Joe Johnston. This game is inspired by the Atari 2600 game Haunted House.

In this short treasure hunt, you play as someone duped into searching a terrible old manse. Your task is to find the three shards of old man Dee Ceased's funeral urn. Bring the completed urn back to the front hall to end the curse and win the game.

This solution is by David Welbourn, and is based on Release 3 of the game.

Walkthrough

Monsters are confined to their floors but can wander randomly. Monsters can age you, waste your time on the clock, and can steal the Urn or parts of the Urn.
