Taxes is a Z-machine interactive fiction game written with Inform 6 and is © 2000 by Josn Giesbrecht. It was an entry in the Speed-IF 10 event.

In this tiny minimal game, you play as a citizen of the US of A. A smug government lackey from the IRS is at the front door for YOUR hard-earned money. (Caution: Unpleasant language.)

This solution is by David Welbourn, and is based on Release 0 of the game.

Front Door

There's really not much to this game at all.

> i. x money. x taxman. in. hit taxman. (+99)

*** You have won ***

In that game you scored your-score on out a possible 99, in few turns, earning you the rank of ranking.

This walkthrough is provided free of charge since I wrote this walkthrough prior to January 2015 when I began my Patreon account, and also because the work it's based on has less than fifteen locations (so I wouldn't have charged for it anyway). I've since reformatted this walkthrough to use my currently preferred style. I hope you enjoy it!

I'm still creating new walkthroughs! Larger ones too! Please visit my Patreon account if you're interested in helping me create more interactive fiction walkthroughs. I appreciate all the help I can get! Thanks again.
