In this short slice-of-life game, you play as a young woman in her home. You need to take your dog, Muffin, for a walk in the park. Now where did you put her leash?
This solution is by David Welbourn, and is based on Release 1 of the game.

Due credit must go to Jim Aikin for his helpful Inform 7 Handbook, to the masterminds behind Inform 7 and its documentation and extensions, and to the creators which have made and sustained IF over the past 50 years. Without any one of these factors, I'd never have made a game. And big, big thanks to my beta testers from the intfiction forums:

Endings
You have disappointed your girlfriend (But you're welcome to UNDO, CLEAN up your act, and try again)
if you drop too many things on the floor.
You have given up
if you go the the coffee shop without Muffins.
You are a champion!
if you and Muffins enter Winners Park together.
Note: There doesn't seem to be an ending that happens if you fail to get to the park in a reasonable amount of time. Muffins won't have an "accident" if you delay too long.
Inventory
CAUTION: Dropping anything on the floor will annoy your girlfriend. It's much safer to put things onto the couch or table, and some things may go into the basket.
a bikini top and a pair of shorts. You're wearing them.
Leave them on. You may remove them when indoors but not when outdoors.
some attention. You're carrying it.
Give some attention to Muffins. You may do this more than once since you always have more.
You can try to give yourself some attention too, but this is Muffins's time right now.
an inferior leash. It's in the basket on your living room's bookshelf.
You can put it on the collar. Take the handle again so you can lead Muffins to the park.
your lil fluffy wuffy dog. Muffins is in the living room.
You can't pick up your dog directly, but she appears in your inventory when she's wearing her collar, a leash is attached to her collar, and you take that leash.
a lost sock. Find it by moving couch.
This sock has a red herring pattern. You won't wear it, and it mysteriously returns to its hiding place when you move the couch back where it belongs. Ignore it.
a basket. It's on the bookshelf.
Open it to find the inferior leash inside. You don't actually need the basket itself.
some shoes. They're hiding in the living room.
You learn that you need shoes when you first try to take Muffins to the park without them.
Additional hints tell you they're easier to find in the dark and that they're phosphorescent.
Turn off the light and take the glow you see in the corner.
Turn the light back on and wear your shoes.
a collar. Muffins is wearing it.
You can attach one leash at a time to the collar, dropping the leash handle in the process. See interior leash and superior leash.
When you detach a leash, you remove the collar as well.
You may wear the leash yourself.
The best configuration is when Muffins wears the collar with the superior leash attached, and you're holding that leash.
a TV. It's on the makeshift stand.
Turning it on will not help you.
Dropping it on the floor is also a poor idea.
While you hold it, you can't do much but put it down somewhere. You can't take it outside the house.
Move it to the couch or table so you can open the stand it was on. Move it back when you've emptied the stand.
a superior leash. It's in the makeshift stand, which originally was a piano bench.
To get into the stand, you'll need to temporarily move the TV to either the couch or table.
Put the leash on Muffins's collar, of course! Don't forget to pick up the leash's handle afterwards.
a remote control. It's in the makeshift stand.
It has an ON button, but don't press it. Something inside the TV will blow up and you'll lose three points.
Score
The response to SCORE is:
You have so far scored your-score out of a possible 30, in several turns.
Points are awarded as follows:
5 points for acquiring the inferior leash.
5 points for picking up the leash's handle after attaching the leash to Muffins's collar.
3 points for giving affection to Muffins.
2 points for finding the superior leash.
5 points for wearing shoes.
10 points for entering Winners Park
−3 points for pushing the button on the remote control.
NOTE: Sometimes the points aren't awarded for wearing the shoes, and I don't know why not.
XYZZY
The magic words XYZZY and PLUGH change Muffins's color. She turns red, orange, yellow, green, blue, indigo, violet, pastel pinkish, and then back to her natural fluffy color.
