Sinking the Lily Jane is a Z-machine interactive fiction game written with Inform 6 and is © 1999 by Ryan N. Freebern. It was an entry in the Speed-IF 7 event.
You've been sent to sink the Lily Jane, the biggest oil tanker in the Vuorinen Oil fleet. You have a pair of bombs and scant instructions: attach the limpet to the hull in a place where it will disable the ship, and place the computer-bomb in contact with electrical circuitry to trigger it.
This solution is by David Welbourn, and is based on Release 1 of the game.

I note that it's difficult to mess this up. You can't wake the crew. You can't drop your bombs in the sea. And you can't push the speed lever at all until the bombs are placed.
There are no other characters in the game proper. However:
This walkthrough is provided free of charge since I wrote this walkthrough prior to January 2015 when I began my Patreon account, and also because the work it's based on has less than fifteen locations (so I wouldn't have charged for it anyway). I've since reformatted this walkthrough to use my currently preferred style. I hope you enjoy it!
I'm still creating new walkthroughs! Larger ones too! Please visit my Patreon account if you're interested in helping me create more interactive fiction walkthroughs. I appreciate all the help I can get! Thanks again.
