Nostradamus's Onion Sandwich is a Z-machine version 5 interactive fiction game written with Inform 6 and is © 1999 by David A. Cornelson. It was an entry in the Speed-IF 4 event.
In this small game, you play as someone at the top of the Eiffel Tower in Paris, 2042. You're here to fulfil a prophecy.
This solution is by David Welbourn, and is based on Release 1 of the game.
Top of Tower
Serious guess-the-author's-mind problems in this one. If you drop the onion, you can't pick him up again. If you hold onto the onion too long, you'll die from his fumes. Yes, the onion's a "he". No, I don't know why.
> x counter. x dispenser. push button. (This improves your sense of balance.)
> search counter. x onion. e. nw.
OuterRail (west)
> look west. (Very hard to guess this action. It isn't hinted at in any way.)
> give onion to prophet. (Nostradamus can't be called "Nostradamus" or "man". Only "prophet". And nowhere in the game is he referred to as "prophet". Very unfair.)

This walkthrough is provided free of charge since I wrote this walkthrough prior to January 2015 when I began my Patreon account, and also because the work it's based on has less than fifteen locations (so I wouldn't have charged for it anyway). I've since reformatted this walkthrough to use my currently preferred style. I hope you enjoy it!
I'm still creating new walkthroughs! Larger ones too! Please visit my Patreon account if you're interested in helping me create more interactive fiction walkthroughs. I appreciate all the help I can get! Thanks again.
