Key & Compass presents:
Leather
by Christopher Tate

Leather is a Hugo interactive fiction story and is © 2001 by Christopher Tate. It was an entry in the Speed-IF Third Anniversary event.

In this short story, you play as Peter, a traveler currently in Mellila en route to Rome. You've never seen such a dizzying confusion of smells and colors and people. But mostly, you remember an unveiled Arab woman who smiled at you in the bazaar. Tonight, your tour group is hosting a Hallowe'en party on the ship before it leaves tomorrow.

This solution is by David Welbourn.

Yachtbow Yachtstern Gangplank By thegangplank Wharf

More of an exercise in ambience than a game. Examine the pumpkin, people, masks, curtain, and food. Wander and wait around; there are several interesting random events. But you can't really do anything except walk around and talk to Nishat. The game ends when you tell her that you’re leaving tomorrow.

Thank You to my Patreon supporters

This walkthrough is provided free of charge since I wrote this walkthrough prior to January 2015 when I began my Patreon account, and also because the work it's based on has less than fifteen locations (so I wouldn't have charged for it anyway). I've since reformatted this walkthrough to use my currently preferred style. I hope you enjoy it!

I'm still creating new walkthroughs! Larger ones too! Please visit my Patreon account if you're interested in helping me create more interactive fiction walkthroughs. I appreciate all the help I can get! Thanks again.
