[Living Room]
Your roommate John must cram for a final exam. Your task is to remove all possible distractions so he can concentrate. (Your motives aren't pure. You want John to pass so he will move out of the apartment.)
>info. x me. x John. x desk. x book. x tv. x junk.
By this time, four of John's friends will have barged in. Alice is hungry and will periodically toss cellophane and chip bags into the kitchen, hall, and living room. Carl is Alice's boyfriend and follows her lead. Bob is extremely drunk and bumping into the walls. Evan can't stop talking about trivia.
>x Alice. x Bob. x Carl. x Evan.
>turn off tv. unplug tv. search junk. quiz John. (okay, none of that helped)
>west.
[Kitchen]
>x table. x blue box. take it. x card. read card.
>x fridge. open it.
>x can. drink can. (it's full of milk!)
>x dough. take it. close fridge.
>x sink. x dishes. x skateboard. take it.
>x stove. x pot. x soup. smell soup.
>east. east.
[Short Hall]
>open John's door. (if necessary; it may be already open)
>north.
[John's Bedroom]
>x window. close window. put dough in hole.
>x bed. look under bed.
>x desk. x game. take it.
>x plastic. x duct tape. take it.
>x drawer. open it. x book. take it.
>x basket. x wrapper. take it.
>east.
[John's Closet]
>x mitt. take it.
>x clothes. x hangers.
Now go look for Bob. Since Bob wanders, I can't tell you exactly where to find him. But it's not like there's a lot of rooms.
(whichever room Bob's in)
>show wrapper to Evan. (make a note which chocolate contains liqueur)
>show wrapper to Evan. (Yes, do it again. If Evan's story changes, change your note about which chocolate contains liqueur. If Bob walks out, follow Bob.)
>give [appropriate] chocolate to Bob. (where this is the specific chocolate that Evan said contains liqueur. Bob should collapse into a drunken, snoring stupor.)
>put tape on game. give game to Evan. (this shuts up Evan, and the tape keeps the game quiet)
Head back to the Living Room, if not there already.
[Living Room]
>wear glove. search junk. remove glove.
>x remote. turn off tv.
>x coupon book. x seafood coupon. ask Alice about seafood.
>x Nekohanten coupon. ask Alice about Nekohanten.
>x Merde coupon. ask Alice about Merde.
Note that Alice is interested in only one type of food tonight.
>take [appropriate] coupon. give it to Alice. (now Alice complains she is cold)
>e. s.
[Your Bedroom]
>x closet. x chair. x bed. look under bed.
>x desk. x drawer. open it. close it.
>east.
[Your Closet]
>x toolbox. take wrench. x it. w. n. e.
[Bathroom]
>x towel. take it. w. w.
[Living Room]
>give towel to Alice. give skateboard to Alice. (Alice and Carl leave!)
>e. s.
[Your Bedroom]
Push the swivel chair to wherever Bob is, eg:
>push chair north. (and continue pushing until you get to his location)
(whichever room Bob's in)
>take Bob. put Bob on swivel chair.
>push swivel chair [appropriate-direction]. (and continue pushing until you reach your soundproofed closet)
[Your Closet]
>take Bob. drop Bob. push chair west.
[Your Bedroom]
>close closet door. (hear drips from the kitchen)
>n. w. w.
[Kitchen]
>x cabinet. open cabinet. x pipes. fix pipes. (hear drips from the bathroom)
>e. e. e.
[Bathroom]
>x cabinet. x sink cabinet. open it.
>x pipes. x sink pipes. fix sink pipes. (hear drips above you)
