The Isle of Statues is a Z-machine interactive fiction game written with Inform 6 and is © 2012 by Elmar Vogt.
In this small game, you are the second-in-command of the "Curiosity", a merchant liner. The ship has anchored to the west of a small remote island to replenish its supply of fresh water. The captain orders you and the boatswain to go complete this task, and if you're not back on board by 6 o'clock, the ship will leave without you.
This solution is by David Welbourn, and is based on Release 2 of the game. NOTE: This game was available from Dropbox at https://dl.dropbox.com/u/86946749/statues.z8, but that link no longer works. The game can be obtained from my unofficial homepage for this game.
SPOILERS AHEAD. Reading a walkthrough prematurely can sometimes diminish one's enjoyment of an interactive fiction game. Please make an honest effort to play the game before reading this walkthrough.

Welcome to the world of interactive fiction! This is the first interactive fiction game I've written, and as such it is more of a "test" than a true game in its own right -- I mostly wanted to see if I would get a grip on Inform 6, the programming language. Nonetheless a number of people have invested their time and given me valuable feedback on bugs and playability improvements: As such, I would like to thank Thomas Schäfer, "katzy", "StJohnLimbo", Peter Pears, "Dannii", and everybody else.
Enjoy playing interactive fiction!
