Key & Compass presents:
IF Aquarium
by Michael Kichline and Michael Eckhart

IF Aquarium is a Z-machine piece of interactive art written with Inform 7 and is © 2010 by Michael Kichline and Michael Eckhart.

In this short and flawed artpiece, you play as anyone visiting an aquarium. You begin in a glass tunnel, with sharks swimming on the other side of the glass. The exits are east and west, and there's a closed trap door above you.

This solution is by David Welbourn, and is based on Release 2 of the artpiece.

SPOILERS AHEAD. Reading a walkthrough prematurely can sometimes diminish one's enjoyment of a piece of interactive art. Please make an honest effort to play the artpiece before reading this walkthrough.

Shark Tunnel

Note: There will be many spelling errors and very little content in this artpiece.

> x sharks. (hungry)

> w.

Trout & Bass Tunnel

> x fish. (trout, bass, catfish, minnows, etc.)

> e. e.

Turtle Tunnel

> x turtles. w.

Shark Tunnel

> open door. u.

Dive Room

> enter dive door.

*** The sharks eat you alive. ***

> undo

> w.

Western Branch

> enter dive door.

*** The fish nibble you to death. ***

> undo

> e. e.

eastern branch

> enter dive door.

*** You have a starring contest with the turrtles... They win. ***

That seems to be all you can do in this one.

Endings

Note that there's no way to leave the aquarium or otherwise win.

Also, because of bugs, going north through a dive door isn't the same as enter dive door. Going north through dive doors takes you to rooms that the player is not supposed to see.
