Hypnotist of Ladies is a Z-machine interactive fiction game written with Inform 7 and is © 2012 by David Cornelson. This game participated as track 16 in the Apollo 18+20: The IF Tribute Album event.

In this small one-note game, you play as the Hypnotist of Ladies. Your plan is to hypnotize all the ladies.

This solution is by David Welbourn, and is based on Release 1 of the game.

There are ladies in the Front Bar, Banquet Room, Disco, Road, and Far Side.
There are men in the Pool Hall and Road.

Also, supposedly there are people on the busy Sidewalk, but they're not implemented.

Score

In that game you scored your-score out of a possible 5, in some turns, earning you the rank of ranking.

1 point for looking at ladies in the Front Bar.
1 point for looking at ladies in the Banquet Room.
1 point for looking at ladies in the Disco.
1 point for looking at ladies on the Road.
1 point for looking at ladies at the Far Side.

Rankings:

0 to 2 points ⇒ Never needed a pocket watch, Hypnotist of Ladies.
3 to 4 points ⇒ Never need to count backwards, Hypnotist of Ladies.
5 points ⇒ Hypnotist of Ladies.

I note that the game is fundamentally broken with scoring. There's nothing stopping you from looking at the same ladies five times, earning five points, and ending the game right away.
