Key & Compass presents:
The Horste
by Roger Carbol

The Horste is a Glulx interactive fiction story written with Inform 7 and is © 2017 by Roger Carbol. It was a participant in the Tent Annual New Year's Minicomp.

In this short HBO Westworld fanfic, you play as a robot horse (a "horste") named Alba. You start your day in the stables with Francis the mule. Dolores should be arriving soon.

This solution is by David Welbourn, and is based on Release 1 of the story.

SPOILERS AHEAD. Reading a walkthrough prematurely can sometimes diminish one's enjoyment of an interactive fiction story. Please make an honest effort to play the story before reading this walkthrough.

*** The End ***

The game begins with this warning:

WARNING: This piece of Westworld fanfic contains SPOILERS for Westworld (the 2016 HBO television series, not the 1973 movie.) Proceed, if you dare, forewarned. (It occurs prior to the events of the third episode of the first season.)

This is the response to ABOUT or CREDITS:

This was written for the New Years" Eve 2016 competition, organized by the irrepressible Taleslinger. It was written in about four hours -- too long to really be speed-if, but too shoddy to be anything else. I hope you enjoy it.

Both endings end with The End, but they're not the same.
