The Hidden King's Tomb

In this small adventure, you're exploring the Hidden King's Tomb, searching for treasure. Unfortunately, your adventuring partner pushed you into the sinkhole "entrance", so you're also searching for a way to escape.

This solution is by David Welbourn, and is based on Release 1 of the game.

Extras

Characters

This is very much a solo adventure, but I should mention the following characters:

Your former friend and adventuring partner pushed you into the sinkhole, intending to take any treasure for himself. This happens in the prologue.
The Hidden King lies in his coffin. He is still imposing, even though he is now only a skeleton wrapped in rags.
The Secret Queen, likewise, lies in her coffin. She is another skeleton wrapped in rags. Both her crown and dagger are described as "cruel".
The Furtive Child is missing from their coffin.
The Grey Grave Watcher is a deity represented by two grey stone statues that are back-to-back. Each statue has but a single, giant eye.
Several skeletons decorate the east and west tunnels. It's unclear if they are mere carvings or the actual skeletons of warriors.

Inventory

As near as I can tell, with the exception of the book, you don't need any of this stuff. There is no final accounting of your loot's value. Also, you can't easily drop anything, nor wear anything that ought to be wearable.

four treasures:

A treasure is in the pool at the bottom of the sinkhole.
A treasure is in the coffer in the Hidden King's Tomb.
A treasure is the "coins" at the shrine.
A treasure is in the coffer in the Furtive Child's Tomb.

fourteen (lit or unlit) candles:

An unlit candle is in the pool at the bottom of the sinkhole.
A lit candle is on the coffin in the Hidden King's Tomb.
Twelve lit candles are at the shrine.
You can light any unlit candle at will. You can extinquish candles too, of course. Water has no effect on the candles.

two wrappings:

Some wrappings are wrapped around the King in his coffin.
Some wrappings are wrapped around the Queen in her coffin.

The Hidden King's sword. The king is holding it inside his coffin; unwrap the king to find it.
The Book of the Dead. The king is holding it inside his coffin; unwrap the king to find it. Read it to learn about praying to the "Grey Grave Watcher"; this refers to the shrine's statue.
The Secret Queen's Crown. It's in the queen's coffer.
some drapes. They're on top of the queen's coffin.
a dagger. The queen is holding it inside her coffin; unwrap the queen to find it.
a cloth doll. It's on the coffin in the Furtive Child's Tomb.
a bead necklace. It's on the coffin in the Furtive Child's Tomb.
a colorful shawl. It's on the coffin in the Furtive Child's Tomb.
