Key & Compass presents:
Heezy Park
by Andrew Schultz

Heezy Park is a Z-machine interactive fiction game written with Inform 7 and is © 2015 by Andrew Schultz. It was an entry in La Petite Mort division of Ectocomp 2015 where it took 3rd place.

In this short chase game, you're a trick-or-treater whose bag of candy was just stolen by that bully Half Nelson. He's running south into Heezy Park. He's bigger and faster than you, but he is carrying a lot of candy. Maybe you can catch up?

This solution is by David Welbourn, and is based on Release 1 of the game.

SPOILERS AHEAD. Reading a walkthrough prematurely can sometimes diminish one's enjoyment of an interactive fiction game. Please make an honest effort to play the game before reading this walkthrough.

MegaSol's message doesn't change. Full Nelson and Half Nelson are arguing to the south. You have some time to examine a few things and puzzle out what word the game is trying to get you to say.

Personally, I found the BOO-merang pun (which I deduced from the Laffy Taffy wrapper) was the most helpful clue, and the other clues only made sense after I got it right. Except YIP. I don't see how YIP implies BOO.
