In this sequel to Kentish Plover, you decide to spend some more time exploring Margate and the surrounding area, before returning home to write more interactive fiction. You begin in Ylloh, a Kent-based company that produces clocks.

This solution is by David Welbourn, and is based on Release 1 of the game.

Characters

Holly Backwards is the owner of Ylloh, a clock-making company.
Eden Edna is a clockmaker in Ylloh's factory floor.
Number one is in charge of the boathouse. He lends boats in exchange for specific vinyl records.
A skipper is a retired old sailor who runs a pub called The Same Boat.

Mentioned:

Locals and tourists are hurrying to their destinations somewhere in the Old Town.
Charles Dickens is name-dropped in the dock's description.
Ducks in the thousands are flying around the ruins.
Dan is mentioned on the plaque in the ruins as someone who probably won't mind if his home is destroyed by a clock-making company. (I assume the author is refering to himself here, but it's an odd thing to say about anyone.)

Inventory

Examine it. It tells the time.

Take it and read it.

a vinyl record. It's in somewhere in the Old Town.

It's a recording of the Hitchhicker's Guide to the Galaxy radio series.
Give it to Number one in the boathouse.

Take it to be transported outside a bakery.
Later, in the galley, drop the stay. It replaces the missing beam for the pub.

a victoria sponge. This cake is in the Stay Bakery.

Eat it. You'll sleep, then wake up in the ruins.
