You play as Hank, the Snugley family handyman. You just finished fixing their framastructure yet again, although you wonder why it's in the kitchen. You also wonder why a rich family like the Snugleys has such a thin and sour daughter like Sally. Perhaps you'll look around a bit before you go.

The Snugleys' Kitchen

You can't go north from the bedroom until you've tasted the cake at least once.

Characters

A troop of enemy soldiers is at the Battleground. They are an improbable mix of several enemies that the U.S. has had in the past.
Sally, the emaciated Snugley daughter, is also at the Battleground. She seems to represent America's future in that tableau.

Mentioned:

Mrs. Snugley wrote the note.
"Legless Canadians" are mentioned by the enemy soldiers.
The "waif from the Les Miserables promo" is mentioned in the description of Sally.
The Snugleys' cat is mentioned if you "xyzzy" three times in the kitchen.

Endings

You have died

if you give your freedom to the soldiers,
or if you give your freedom to Sally.

You have won if you give the copy of the Constitution to Sally.

Inventory

a note. It's on the table in the kitchen. Read it.
a severed head; later, a head-shaped cake. It's in the fridge. Examine it to discover that it's cake. Eat or taste it to be able to reach the Battleground. You may then give the cake to Sally, if you like.
a copy of the U.S. Constitution. It's in the Apartment entry. Give it to Sally.
a freedom. This item silently enters your inventory when you enter the Battleground location. Don't give away your freedom!
