Don't Push The Mailbox is a Z-machine interactive fiction game written with Inform 7 and is © 2019 by Ralfe Rich.
In this very short joke game, you play as a homeowner. It's a beautiful day for working outside, but you're disturbed by the presence of what looks like a mailbox at the foot of your front lawn. What will you do about it?
This solution is by David Welbourn, and is based on Release 1 of the game.
> x me. i. (carrying nothing)
> x house. x flowers. x lawn.
> x mailbox. (Has opening and handle)
> turn handle. (It pops out.)
> x opening. (It's fake!)
> x handle. (The mailbox door is fake too.)
> take mailbox. (Oops, too heavy.)
*** Well you had a good run. ***
> pull mailbox. (Crushed!)
*** Nothing a great way to start the day ***
> push mailbox. (Crushed!)
*** Well that could have gone better, anything stronger maybe? Can you even die from a mailbox?? ***
> punch mailbox. (It's still standing.)
> kick mailbox. (It's still standing.)
> s. (You ignore the problem.)
*** Why were you even bothered by the mailbox in the first place? ***
Oh, I wasn't bothered. Were you bothered? Me neither.
