In this short horror story, you're the captain of a spaceship. You had to ration the last of the supplies, but soon you and your crew will reach Nostreperes, the pale planet, and you'll have the last laugh.

This solution is by David Welbourn, and is based on Release 6 of the story.

Robert is a crewmember in a spacesuit, aimlessly drifting in the open airlock. He's dead.
Bill is a crewmember apparently sleeping in his bunk. He's dead.
Harrison is your first officer. He's sitting in one of the armchairs in the cockpit. He's dead.

Endings

A review on IFDB says there's four endings, but I only found the following three. If you find the fourth ending, please tell me!

Isn't that a "happy" ending?

if you laugh after you see you'll never land on the planet.

A mediocre ending.

if instead of laughing, you kill yourself instead.

A slow and painful end.

if instead of laughing, you wait several times for the end instead. (Robert re-enters, disarms you if you have the rod, and ties you up to be eaten later.)

Inventory

a metal rod. It's wedged in the security door on your side in the storeroom.

Take it so you can turn the wheel and leave the storeroom. There's is nothing more you can do with it.

a bloody fingernail. It's seen in the dented door when outside of the airlock, but only after examining the dents or scratches.

I doubt there's anything you can do with it.
