Key & Compass presents:
The Crescent City at the Edge of Disaster
by Emily Short

The Crescent City at the Edge of Disaster is a Z-machine interactive fiction game written with Inform 6 and is © 2001 by Emily Short. It was a participant in the Speed-IF 2001 event.

In this game, you play as the woman called the Dark Avenger and the best negotiator in war-torn New Orleans. You've managed to get those bastard mutant hamsters, the Bright Coalition, to agree to not destroy humanity utterly if you build a model of the Taj Mahal out of croutons in Jackson Square.

This solution is by David Welbourn, and is based on Release 1 of the game.

Score

In that game you scored your-score out of a possible 0, in some turns.

The maximum score is 8, but author forgot to program that in. But the score is hardly that important in this game.

This walkthrough is provided free of charge since I wrote this walkthrough prior to January 2015 when I began my Patreon account, and also because the work it's based on has less than fifteen locations (so I wouldn't have charged for it anyway). I've since reformatted this walkthrough to use my currently preferred style. I hope you enjoy it!

I'm still creating new walkthroughs! Larger ones too! Please visit my Patreon account if you're interested in helping me create more interactive fiction walkthroughs. I appreciate all the help I can get! Thanks again.
