Corrupter of Dreams is a Z-machine interactive fiction story written with Inform 7 and is © 2017 by Robert Patten. It was an entry in the La Petite Mort, English division of Ectocomp 2017 where it took 4th place.

In this short story, you are Nightmare, the Corrupter of Dreams. You have entered a boy's pleasant dream about a garden, peaceful and beautiful, and dominated by a huge blossoming tree. How you ache to touch it. When the tree dies, the dream will die too.

This solution is by David Welbourn, and is based on Release 1 of the story.
