The Body

In this rather linear game loosely based on the Stephen King novella The Body, you play as a kid named Gordie Lachance. One of your friends found out about a dead body by the tracks outside of town, so a group of you are heading out to go see it.

This solution is by David Welbourn, and is based on Release 1 of the game.

Mostly just a linear walk. You can't do much with the NPCs, although you're welcome to try.

Alex is Alex Lachance and your dad. He's at West of House, but he's distant.
Betty is Betty Lachance and your maw. She's in the Backyard, but she's distant.
Chris is your best friend. You meet him on your Front Porch.
D'Teddy is a crazy guy who wears glasses. You meet him at Street by House.
E'Vern is a bit overweight and a bit of an idiot, but he's not a liar. You meet him at Intersection.
A junkyard dog named Chopper briefly menaces your group on the Train Tracks.
Some leeches also briefly menace you on the Train Tracks.
Loki and three giants threaten you at A River Runs By It.
The body of Thor is at A River Runs By It.

a hammer. You're carrying it. It's Mjolnir, Thor's hammer. Give it to the body at A River Runs By It.
a matchbook. Chris gives it to you when you arrive at Front Porch. You can try to burn your house down with it. Or not.
