Blue Sky is a Z-machine 5 interactive fiction game written with Inform 6 and is © 2004 by Hans Fugal. It was entered in IF Comp 2004 where it took 26th place.
You play as a tourist in Santa Fe, New Mexico. You've overslept your first morning here and your tour group has already left the hotel without you. You'd better hurry up and find them!
This solution is by David Welbourn, and is based on Release 3 of the game.
The first walkthrough gets you 10 out of 10 points and requires you to be a thief. The second walkthrough only gets you 9 out of 10 points, but it is more honest and the only way to win when the theft isn't possible (e.g.: if you return the llama before getting the $5 bill).
If you get the $5 bill from the hat, you can still get the turquoise (see walkthrough 2) but you won't be able to sell it. Likewise, if you sell the turquoise first, you won't be able to get the bill from the hat (but you should try it anyway for the response). Incidently, you can never give the bill to the flute player, nor put it into his hat.
If you visit the chapel before your tour group gets there, you'll get a ticket good for entering the chapel all day. In this case, you'll also be able to examine the altar, benches, and staircase inside the chapel, but only the staircase is worth examining.

About this time, you should notice that the doorman let a priest in a brown robe in. Maybe if he thought you were a priest, you could get in too.
