Birth of Mind is a Z-machine interactive fiction game written with Inform 7 and is © 2011 by Justin de Vesine. It was a participant in The penultimate not numbered New Year's Speed IF event.

In this very short story inspired by both Norse legends and Jack and the Beanstalk, you play as a little god named Jack. You want to find an ice giant who can tell you how to start Ragnarok.

This solution is by David Welbourn, and is based on Release 1 of the game.

You can't see any kernels until you try taking one. And you have to guess where they are. There's four kernels, one in each location.
