Key & Compass presents:
Asendent
by Nate Cull and Doug Jones

Asendent is a Z-machine interactive fiction game written with Inform 6 and is © 2000 by Nate Cull and Doug Jones (writing as "Sourdoh Farenheit and Kelvin Flatbred"). It was entered in IF Comp 2000 where it took 51st place.

In this short game that attempts to parody the style of author Rybread Celsius, you play as an office worker who just drank some coffee spiked with hallucinogenic drugs. You are overcome with a desire to find the BLUE RASPBERRY!

This solution is by David Welbourn, and is based on Release 2 of the game.

Note: The box quote at the start of the game is randomized.

Beware: This game is riddled with deliberate misspellings. You usually need to use the correct spellings in your commands. Your quest is to find the "BLUE RASPBREY".

Speculation: The BLUE RASPBERRY might be a reference to the Golden Banana of Discord, a special prize awarded to the IF Comp game that gets the highest standard deviation in the votes it receives.
