In this simple game, you continue your adventure. Back outside the caves, you find a dusty old book in a meadow near a village. Follow its whimsical directions to learn what the king wants you to do next.

When you have the pot, read the book again to learn you also need a bottle of mead.
When you have the bottle, read the book again to learn you also need a hoe.
When you have the hoe, read the book again to learn you need to mix all three together.
a padded cloth square. It's in the lounge.
You must have the square whenever you take pot, otherwise the pot is too hot to carry.
Likewise, you may not drop the square while you carry the pot.
a silver key. Find it by examining the pallet in the bare hut.
In the town hall, use key to unlock the north door. It leads to the cluttered office.
a bubbling pot of stew. It's in the bare hut.
If you have the cloth square, you can take the pot. Otherwise, the pot is too hot to carry.
When you have the pot, read the book again to learn you now need a bottle of mead.
In the office, use pot to melt the ice that's keeping you from taking the bottle.
When you have pot, bottle, and hoe, and have read page 4 of the book, mix the three items together: use bottle. drop pot. use hoe. This creates a jewelled match.
The pot is consumed by the magic.

You must have first read the fourth page of the dusty book before this will work. First, use bottle to pour the mead into the pot. Second, drop the pot. Third, use hoe to stir the pot with the hoe. The pot and hoe vanish, and the match appears.
In the cluttered office, use match to light it. Only there, with the rough underside of the desk, are you able to strike the match.
The match is lit forever and lets you see in any dark locations, such as the old mine.
